Deacon of Member Care
Rodger was born in St. Joseph, Michigan. He grew up in a Christian home and attended church since his birth. From as far back as he can remember he has had an interest in spiritual things and a love for God. He remembers at an early age having a deep burden for his sin and asking God to forgive and be the master of his life. The girl who would later become his wife (Beverly) grew up in the same church as Rodger. God drew them together during Rodger’s college education. They were married in 1976 and he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from LeTourneau College in 1978. Because of His mercy and grace God has faithfully sustained Rodger in life’s trials and through those trials God has become dearer to him. God has given them 6 children and, as of today, 5 grandchildren. God has provided faithfully for their family through the years. Rodger has previously worked for Whirlpool Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan and Evansville, Indiana as a Tool & Process engineer. He has worked for Bosch LLC in South Bend, Indiana and Mount Prospect, Illinois for the last 23 years as a computer programmer in the IT department. Rodger enjoys working on home remodeling or repair projects for both himself and others. He also loves evangelism opportunities. Rodger currently lives in Rolling Meadows, Illinois with his wife Bev and youngest son Paul.
